What is Life? From a purely biochemical/mathematical perspective, life could be defined as a specification of algorithmic functions such as growth, metabolism, response to stimuli, and reproduction. Existentially, in our case, it is the physical, mental, and spiritual experiences that pervades our orderly progression as authentically specified entities. Two words jump out from the preceding statements —-specification and specified. Words that essentially give credence to the idea that life could only have been planned down to its last essential attributes of having substance, identity and function.
