What is Life? From a purely biochemical/mathematical perspective, life could be defined as a specification of algorithmic functions such as growth, metabolism, response to stimuli, and reproduction. Existentially, in our case, it is the physical, mental, and spiritual experiences that pervades our orderly progression as authentically specified entities. Two words jump out from the preceding statements —-specification and specified. Words that essentially give credence to the idea that life could only have been planned down to its last essential attributes of having substance, identity and function.

I love to write from way back when I was just learning the English language

by

in elementary school. The writing took the form of poems and essays about almost anything under the sun, but the urge to write a book never nudge me into doing it until this year when at last the horizon of my retirement from family and career responsibilities became clearer as the months progressed. Now that I have written and published my first book… what I’d call the rainbow touching that horizon, I could say with a tinge of anticipation that a pot of gold is lying under that rainbow.

The pot of gold is not anything related to monetary enhancement but to commentary entrancement by readers that the book was worth the time they spent reading it.

Me at work… As they say time flies when one is having fun. I’ve been a Pediatrician since 1981 when I finished my 3 year pediatric residency at Martin Luther King Jr. County Hospital in Los Angeles. Since then it’s been fun all the way taking care of children and their medical problems. I would say that during all those years… and until now that I am close to retiring I have never been happier. Kids are fun to take care of specially if and when they give you their full trust and confidence. However during the past decade or so because of governmental intrusion into the medical profession, that enjoyment have diminished to the point that a lot of doctors are retiring prematurely. A pity. BTW, this video was taken 8 years ago… the first time that I was voted one of the top doctors here in Palm Springs. Every year since then I have been included in that list. So now that I will be retiring this year, at age 70… I think it’s just about right that I give thanks to the Lord for sustaining me through all those years. P.S. The Hillary Conundrum

Introspections

The question now for Hillary is , should she continue playing the blame game for her loss in the presidential election or should she go on with what is left of her dignity and just march into the sunset of her life trying to recover some of what she lost all throughout her multilayered career as wife, First Lady, senator and state secretary.

It has become very obvious that continuing the current path could only increase the self-pity involved in that crying game. Self-pity, as we all know could only lead to degradation to the point of self- immolation. I’ve seen flickers of that while watching her on television point her fingers at all sorts of people the last ones being the socialists who did not vote for her because “she is a capitalist.”

If only it was just a matter of winning the popular vote, she would be president…

Trumpism

Introspections

The Donald has turned America’s political landscape upside down and inside out. All the parameters that we used to measure political views and discourse, he dumped into the dustbin of history.

If I’m not mistaken, he was a Democrat before he insinuated himself into the Republican presidential primary which he turned into an insulting competition. His opponents, being attuned politicians could not quite get used to the rough and tumble of  his personality leaving all of them incomprehensibly  bewitched, bothered and bewildered. He won the nomination by sheer chutzpah. His next step was to make Hillary as limp and pallid as her bloviation about his followers being a bunch of deplorables.  With all that heavy Clintonian baggage pushing her down, she was not able to elevate her campaign to something  above banality and venality. Her “blaming everyone one but herself” media tour to explain her loss was just another nail…

Now that Trump is the POTUS, the main stream-media which has  always been a Democratic consultancy, has become erratically delusional about what Trump is all about. Which to his followers is just about where they want the liberalist and progressivist media to be tied in. The anarchy emanating from the left-leaning so-called snowflakes ie students and professors in university campuses all over the country could and would be their undoing.

Meanwhile, now on his second year as POTUS, Trump has started to get his gear attuned to loftier goals —that of building the wall, getting the economy cranking again, and making Kim Jung Un look like a teen-ager on a cannabinoid field of dreams, the mullahs act like despondent terrorists on a colloid field of creams, and the main-stream media look not-too -askance at their factoid field of  screams.

Those scenarios are now being considered by Hollywood moguls as their next blockbusters.  Middle-America is watching all these perturbations with great anticipation….. and may I add— glee.
